The HHS Poetry Foundation was founded on the belief that poetry, if approached bravely, gets at the core of who we are. By looking past our constraints of environment, gender, education and class, through poetry we can transcend who we know ourselves to be and therefore live more purposeful lives.
Hugh Wilson is a painter and writer, and the founder of the HHS Poetry Foundation. He left Wall Street in his late 20’s to pursue a career the arts, receiving his Masters in Fine Arts in 2004, and has painted in marginalized communities all over the world. He currently lives in Princeton, NJ with his wife and three daughters.
